A LETTER TO SELF…. DEAR YOUNGER SELF
A LETTER TO SELF …. DEAR YOUNGER SELF
Dear Younger Self,
I can’t stress it enough. Prioritise nature. Infact, let me rephrase that: take out time to re-connect with where you came from, the earth. Your first parent.
Spend time in green zones. Hike, walk, swim in the sea, play Frisbee on the grass, dig your fingers into the soil and re-energise. Get your early morning dose of Vitamin D. When was the last time you touched morning dew?
Studies, work, friends, family…all will make you believe that they are the more important things. It couldn’t be more further from the truth. “You”. “Your humanity” “Your connect with nature” and “Your wellbeing” is the most important thing.
Nature has the capacity to heal, ground and save you if you let it. After all, you come from the very soil you stand on. It’s in one sense, your mother. But you will never think of it like that because you’ve never been made aware of it. It’s always about the things you should want. Not about the things you need. Unlearn. You have time. For your own well-being.
Learn to question… learn to live… not just survive.
