7 Day Abundance Challenge | A practical application of Sarbat Da Bhalla
7 DAY ABUNDANCE CHALLENGE: SARBAT DA BHALLA
Here's a recap of the 7 day abundance challenge where I did this exercise which pushes one towards a more abundance mindset rather than thinking in scarcity. More like a practical application of Sarbat Da Bhalla.
Everyday I’m going to be sharing One thing that changed my life for the better. Unsponsored, no agenda…just plain good old knowledge about all the awesome coincidences in my life that now I can’t do without!
The only hope is that it will help someone out there in their own journey just like it did mine. Let me know if any of my life hacks helped you!
Day 1
Of Abundance Challenge
In the Flow by Alicia Vitti,
I had been struggling with my health when I chanced upon this book randomly in a bookstore. I seriously believe that the right books find you at the right time.
This one is a big example. It came in my life at a time when I was in serious need of turning my menstrual health around.

What this book did for me:
- It helped me understand my periods rather than dread them.
- It made me more compassionate towards my body.
- It gave me great hacks to eat according to the phase of my cycle.
- It helped reduce period pain DRASTICALLY by giving me actionable steps to turn my health around.
- It gave me the understanding that periods are a direct beacon of my health.
- If it hurts too much, it’s not normal.
Tips to have good periods:
- Rest ALOT before your periods.
- Do more things you like (prioritise it).
- Actively eat less carbs and more proteins + fibre.
- Have magnesium and zinc rich foods or supplements.
- If you workout: do low intensity exercises, slow stretches, long slow nature walks.
- This should be about a 7-10 day routine (pre-period) depending on how painful or mood swingy your periods are.
- Have sex if you can! It’s the wet phase. Will regulate hormonal health!
- I’m no doctor, only a girl who researched the hell out of her menstrual routine to make life easier. Have had consistently easier periods for about 3 years now.
Day 2
Of Abundance Challenge

App: Impulse
This app has brain games, puzzles & quizzes to help keep the brain healthy.
I chanced upon it randomly on social media and gave it a try because I was looking for a game app. Was I in for a surprise!
What this app did for me:- Gave confidence to remember things. ( I don’t have great memory)
- Mind feels more confident and sharp.
- Gives a sense of well being as I finish my games of the day every morning. Currently on a 30 day streak.
- Makes me feel younger, like I’m back in school. Learning, progressing and in routine.
Day 3
Of Abundance Challenge
Life Hack
Made a routine with my dogs, so we could all benefit from each other.
What this hack did for me:- Started waking up at 5:30 every morning. (It was SO hard initially!)
- Built a consistent bonding routine with my pups. No more guilt for not spending time with them!
- Gives my dogs 3 hours of uninterrupted playtime everyday. No training, no “humanising”… just happy hours of doing what they please on the house terrace.
- Gives me ample time to workout, draw, journal, meditate or simply laze around to my heart’s content! (The rest of the day is super hectic, so this time is sacred for me!)
- The playtime wears out my puppies and they have become so well behaved and routined, I love it !
Day 4
Of Abundance Challenge
Fitness Hack
I’ve been doing these 6-7 things every morning for my overall health for the past 7 years and It has made a world of difference to my physical and mental well being:
- Walks
- Downward dog
- Vinyasa
- Malasana
- Halasana
- Knee strengthening
- Sometimes even weights
I keep switching up or toning down depending on where I am in my menstrual cycle. Sometime I do more, sometimes less…but always consistent. No pressure.
Day 5
Of Abundance Challenge

Fun Hack
Jigsaw! The best activity away from screens!
As I keep sharing often, if you ever want to gift me something, let it be a 1000 pc puzzle!😊

I’m sharing a list of some names below. I usually buy from amazon.
Day 6
Of Abundance Challenge
Sleeping Hack
Okay, so I live on the busiest commercial street in Siliguri. Think “Chandni Chowk” in Dilli and you will get a good picture.
Hence, it is physically impossible for me to nap during the day without using these two things:
- Sleep mask.
- Ear plugs.
(all on amazon)
I take world class sleep with these two. Almost like going into an abyss of silence and darkness!😊
I kid you not, if you have trouble sleeping you can try this. Made a huge difference for me.
Day 7
Of Abundance Challenge

Learning hack:
I do so much digital art that sometimes I wouldn’t draw for weeks with my hands. Eventually it started getting to me. I started feeling like an imposter: as if my identity became my iPad and posting on instagram.
So I bought a portrait course on domestika, got some alcohol markers and started sketching again every evening.
It helped so much in rebuilding lost confidence! Plus, I discovered it is super therapeutic to colour with markers!
The lessons are short so it is easy to build a routine. Great tips!

Name of Markers: Ohuhu Markers (Amazon)
