MATA GUJRI DE LAAL
The idea of this artwork was to express the contribution of Sikh women in history which has been instrumental in the passing on of values to the younger generation. In this artwork Mata Gujri (Mother of Guru Gobind Singh Ji) sits with her four grandsons (The Chaar Sahibzaade) around the Guru Granth Sahib Ji. All five are in peaceful meditation as Mata Gujri recites from The Granth.
I like to imagine that the four princes were brought up in a devout, spiritual environment which really helped them make the right decisions at the right time despite their tender age. This artwork exemplifies that the roots must be strong in order to build an impeccable personality.
